NEW LINKS TO MY ART

The preparatory drawing for the CHAMPY wall painting is currently part of A Beckoning Country: Art and Objects from the Lake Champlain Valley at the University of Vermont Fleming Museum. It will be on view from April 14 - September 20, 2009 in Burlington, VT.

My work is currently featured featured on the Zorya FIne Art gallery website. Zorya Fine Art is a gallery in Greenwich, CT focusing on the work of emerging and established artists of Ukrainian descent.

Check out my interview on the Open Thread Blog. Open Thread is an arts organization in Pittsburgh and the tri-state area.

ABOUT

My inspiration comes from the street graphics and posters I've encountered during my travels and from the works of underground comic artists Robert Williams, R. Crumb, S. Clay Wilson, Vaughn Bode, 60's collage artist Jess Collins, Winsor McCay, Jack Kirby, Margaret Kilgallen, and my favorite 1990s animated television shows: He-Man, Batman, and in particular John Kricfalusi's "Ren and Stimpy."

I make books, prints and wall paintings. The drawings incorporate, variously, ink, collage elements and gouache, acrylic and spray paint.

I'm currently moving to Providence, RI to begin my MFA at the Rhode Island School of Design.
