WALL PAINTING FOR 'TRANSIT' EXHIBITION

Giant Baby Wall Painting

A 12' wide by 9' tall wall painting for the TRANSIT exhibition at the Miller Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA, on view from Feb. 29 to March 9, 2008.

ABOUT

My inspiration comes from the street graphics and posters I've encountered during my travels and from the works of underground comic artists Robert Williams, R. Crumb, S. Clay Wilson, Vaughn Bode, 60's collage artist Jess Collins, Winsor McCay, Jack Kirby, Margaret Kilgallen, and my favorite 1990s animated television shows: He-Man, Batman, and in particular John Kricfalusi's "Ren and Stimpy."

I make books, prints and wall paintings. The drawings incorporate, variously, ink, collage elements and gouache, acrylic and spray paint.

I'm currently moving to Providence, RI to begin my MFA at the Rhode Island School of Design.
